Fund for Saguaro's Trails

Saguaro National Park has an extensive network of nearly 200 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails -- traversing flat desert landscapes, as well as challenging mountainous terrain, and offering visitors of every ability an opportunity to explore the park.

While the trails are popular with Tucson residents and visitors alike, they require almost continuous maintenance to minimize negative resource impacts and ensure visitor safety.  Normal seasonal rainfall, and unexpected events like high-elevation fires, can result in erosion issues that must be addressed, and multi-use impact issues may also require maintenance attention.

With limited federal dollars available, Friends of Saguaro provides the park with funding to help with regular trails maintenance and upkeep -- supporting priority projects, as determined by the park.
